Occupational
Therapy at Friendship Ridge

Our
Occupational Therapists assess and develop treatment plans for residents
experiencing difficulties taking care of personal needs, positioning
issues, wheel chair mobility, transferring difficulties and needs
for contracture management. OT's goal is to restore a resident's abililty
to take care of themselves while rebuilding hope, confidence and self-respect.
Premier Therapy employs 4 Occupational Therapists an 6 Certified Occupational
Therapy Assistants.

Carol
Parilla, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, works on a cooking
activity with a group of residents. Baking and decorating cupcakes
is just one activity that our residents enjoy in our rehabilitation
kitchen, Participation in functional cooking activities helps prepare
residents to return home, as well as maintain their highest level
of function. |
