Rehabilitation
When a resident needs active treatment to get back on their feet as they recover from surgery, a severe injury or debilitating illness, Friendship Ridge’s comprehensive rehabilitation services are designed to garner optimum results with the utmost benevolence.
Successfully caring for patients with rehabilitative needs requires experience, patience, sensitivity and the proper tools. Friendship Ridge supports the individual rehabilitative needs of its residents with state-of-the-art equipment, specialized therapists and a staff that is second to none.
Offered seven days a week, Friendship Ridge’s rehabilitation team specializes in helping restore independence, mobility, strength, cognitive and communication skills and daily living activities, and is comprised of the following:
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Therapy

Skilled Care (Short-term and Long-term)
Friendship Ridge provides around the clock (24 hours per day) skilled nursing services for both long-term and short-term residents. A devoted and highly skilled team of nurses, physicians, social workers, therapists and other qualified individuals ensure that each resident's needs are completely met.
Interdisciplinary Care Planning Conferences are Friendship Ridge's way of insuring that our residents are receiving the best possible care. Resident goal plans are completed on a routine basis involving department representatives: involved in the resident's care. Resident and family are invited and encouraged to attend these meetings. Working together is a significant component in providing the kind of care and atmosphere that makes Friendship Ridge such a special place.
Secured Alzheimer’s Unit
The compassionate team at Friendship Ridge realizes the special needs of its residents with Alzheimer’s, which is why this type of care is provided by staff with specialized training focused on comfort and safety.

Friendship Ridge offers its residents the convenience of avoiding unnecessary off-site time and travel by providing various additional on-site specialty services, such as:
Liberty Dialysis, LLC
- Located on the main floor of the East Wing.
- In partnership with the Nephrology Group, Dr. Teredesai and McCann and Associates.
- First dialysis clinic in Beaver County that is housed within a skilled nursing care facility.
- Also dialyzes people from the community at the clinic in Friendship Ridge, as space allows. There is an outside entrance with a wheelchair ramp. It's a small unit with six stations.

Clinic
- Residents can be seen by over 50 specialists, who conduct 56-70 monthly scheduled clinics.
- Residents may maintain their relationships with their primary care physicians, if they choose so.
- Friendship Ridge does have staff that arranges for on-site transportation, if a service is not available.
- The resident and family have the option to make arrangements outside the facility.
- Friendship Ridge has its own bus for outside trips.
- Hours of operation vary.

Mobile X-ray Imaging, Inc. (MXI)
- Committed to providing superior mobile medical diagnostic services within an expedient response time.
- By coming to the patient, MXI can perform testing and/or procedures in the comfort and convenience of familiar surroundings at less cost.
- Moving a resident to a hospital can create a hardship or discomforting inconvenience for both the patient and the care facility.
- MXI technologists have extensive mobile medical experience.
- Nationally registered and licensed to further assure that each client receives premium diagnostic quality.
LTSR
LTSR (Long Term Structured Residence) serves as a transitional placement between the state hospital system and lesser restrictive community placements for a time period beyond 30 days. Services provided include:
- Individual and family therapy
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Medication management/monitoring/education
- Group therapy
